I'm a small-town, midwestern girl passionate about capturing moments you treasure and creating photos you love! Backroads Photography was inspired by my family, the winding scenic roads and farmlands of the midwest, and my desire to capture moments and memories from our family's beautifully messy and very active life. My studio is just outside the quaint Northern Illinois town of Woodstock, nestled on three acres of an oak savanah surrounded by an apple orchard and conservation land. My husband, teenage children, and cheerful Boxer dog are frequent assistants, construction crew, and entertainment for our sessions. I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where I played collegiate volleyball and honed my love for capturing stories and emotion in my work. I also have a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Denver.
